Am I OK? Recognizing sign of Mental Health Impairment in Attorneys

Natasha spoke on recognizing various signs and symptoms of mental health impairment in attorneys, including burnout, dementia and Alzheimers, depression, and other illness, as well as providing some strategies around how to combat stress as a legal professional in a high-stress working environment.

Contra Costa County Bar Association Visual art Show

The inaugural CCCBA visual art show, showcased artistic works from five creative attorneys including Natasha. Each artist presented their works, which ranged from oil painting, photography, knitting, dot rock painting, fashion, and ceramics. The artists discussed their inspirations, techniques, how it contributes to their wellness, and what drew them to choose this particular art medium.

TRIALS 101: CIVIL PRETRIAL CASE MANAGEMENT

The panel will examine handling a case from inception to pretrial. The discussion will focus on filing and answering a complaint, propounding and responding to discovery, taking and defending depositions, and filing and opposing dispositive motions. Common ethical issues that may arise early in a case will also be reviewed.  This aspect of the discussion will look at handling conflict considerations, informing prospective clients of statutes of limitations, interacting with opposing counsel and ethical considerations in motion practice.
